Kualapuu, Hawaii, is located on the island of Molokai, one of the smaller islands. The town of Kualapuu is very small and does not have accommodations itself; however, there are hotels nearby for travelers. The island of Molokai is not frequently visited by travelers; however, it is a magnificent travel destination for outdoor sightseers. It is home of Kalaupapa National Historic Park, a well-preserved portion of Hawaiian nature once home to those suffering from Hansen's Disease (leprosy). The area was chosen because of its steep cliffs that cut residents off from the rest of the world. Today, the area is known for snorkeling, mule rides, kayaking, hunting, fishing, swimming, hiking, secluded beaches, cycling, and trails--all of which are popular with nature lovers.
