Designed to excel in the park and pipe, these skis also rip in the groomed runs. Responsive freestyle design delivers expert control to skiers focused on going big in the park and on the half-pipe. Specialized construction replaces a traditional core, topsheet and sidewall with a durable, 7-ply layering similar to a skateboard deck. Each layer is progressively shorter in length from bottom to top, creating a flex pattern that absorbs shock in the same way leaf-spring suspension takes on bumps. Maple veneer core offers high resistance to shock and uncompromising strength. 10 prestretched, vertically laminated carbon fiber strands load the ski with energy; additional strands have been added to the Afterbangs to enhance freestyle maneuvers. Soft flexing Butter Zones™ in the tip and tail feature a thinned-out ski profile, allowing smooth and controlled nose and tail presses. Butter Zones close to the boot enhance control and and leverage. Symmetrical flex pattern in the tip and tail allows responsive riding forward and backward. Symmetrical, true twin-tip design provides ultimate freestyle performance on all terrain, forward or switch. Steel edges seamlessly wrap around the entire tip, delivering superior carving and long-lasting performance. Doubling the thickness of a standard base and edge adds significant durability and impact resistance, and it lets you tune your skis many times throughout the season.
