Awesome Hiking Poles!
Bought these for their compact travel feature but also love these poles for these additional features: flexibility, lightweight, suspension, durable and great support! This is what make LEKI the best hiking poles versus other brands. These are my second pair of Leki poles - bought first pair 12 years ago and still use them. Bought this second pair as needed a set that will collapse and pack easily for travel. Tried the other brands like Black Diamond but they felt cumbersome, heavier, etc. If you can afford more expensive price point, LEKI are well worth the investment! I use these for hiking,

light, fast, just the right spring
I used these on a multi-day walking trip in Scotland, munro-bagging and forest trekking. They were light, super-fast and easy to adjust, and the amount of antishock spring was just right for me. I have an ancient pair of Leki Super-Makalu sticks I used in the Pyrenees over a decade ago, and while these were excellent--and convinced me of the utility of the poles in general--they were a pain to adjust and over time the mechanism seems to have pooped out. Lightweight and very collapsable
I like these poles because the are very lightweight and collapse to a small size which makes it easy to attach to my pack when I am not using them. However the grips are not angled as much as my old Leki poles so seem to bother my wrists a bit. I think I will eventually get used to them.
