Great Boots
Purchased boots of another brand previously, but had continuous heal hotspots/blisters. Purchased La Sportiva Omega GTX boots, found them to fit great right out of the box. One short three mile hike, then a thirty mile backpack trip, with no foot issues. Great, comfortable boot with excellent support and no break in time required. Love 'em.

Excellent High Sierra Scramblers
I'm a big fan of La Sportiva boots and trail runners. They fit my feet better than any other brand I've tried, and these boots were no exception.Right out of the box, with no break-in, I took them out for a weekend of scrambling and climbing in Yosemite National Park. No blisters, no hot spots, and their performance on rough trails was superb. And I just got back from 4 days hiking and climbing nea

Great boots for medium-to-narrow feet
My size wasn't in stock (13), so had to be ordered. Delivery was prompt. I have had trouble finding boots that fit well for my narrow, low-volume feet. These boots solved the problem. I am able to lace them tightly enough to provide a snug fit around my foot, preventing them from sliding forward, when on downslopes. Make sure you get them with adequate length, to allow proper toe room. Have logged 150+ miles with them in Pisgah over the last month - very satisfied.

This is a first
I have wide feet and high volume instep. Boots and shoes in general are a tough fit for this guy. I normally wear a 10-10.5 but these fit perfectly in an 11. I have done some short hikes thus far, 3 miles with long steep descents and ascents. Not a hot spot anywhe

Solid Performer
After hiking up several Wasatch peaks with these so far this season, they are pleasantly worn in. Planning on hiking Ibapah and Kings Peaks in July in them. I didn't experience blisters really on my initial hikes, and wore them around town one day before hiking in them. I would say a plus is they don't take long to wear in. Since the ankle support goes so high, I keep the top section of lacing loose when ascending so the boots do not constrict my ankles. The traction is superb in the Vibram sole and looks to last many seasons. Hiked through very wet conditions in the Smoky Mountains in them last week and the GoreTex performed as expected. Seems to be a great choice for medium/large day summit treks, and extended backpacking use.

Boots for Flipper Feet
Shoes that fit my little heel and my wide toes. I have a normal heel but everything else is wide and I have high arches.Love these boots, BUT, when you find a pair that fits you great and you jump up and down on their ramp and they still feel good, THEN buy a 1/2 size larger.I wore these boots on one 3 mile warm-up hike and then hit a 27 mile loop (Eagle Rock Loop, AK). I had started the hike with a blister that was healing up on the side of my foot from my old boots and around mile 19 I had to tape this spot. Other than that I have never developed blisters. However, every time I start down a decent size hill, the toes on my left foot slam into the front of the boot. I tried lacing them with the "heel" lock as shown in several videos and went back to Arkansas to climb a 1000 foot hill. Still had my toes slam into the front of the boot.I hate the idea of

Italian Fit
La Sportiva has brought back the Italian made, fitted, light hiking boot. The footbed perfectly supports a mid volume foot with normal "D" width, narrow heel. True to size. You may need to go up 1/2 size to accommodate trekking socks or if you're over a "D" width, since there are no width options.I replaced the foot bed with a 3/4 orthotic, to open up room for the forefoot, because the Italian last is slightly narrow for American feet. They feel good and look good with Positive Forward Momentum.

Great Boots
I have been on a quest for a good pair of boots for the last year and a half. These are the first pair that have not given me severe blisters on my heels. the lacing system allows me to get them tied just right and the shape of the boot fi

excellent boot
I've put 40+ miles on these boots so far and I'm quite satisfied. I bought some active sport sole inserts too that have made a noticeable difference in comfort (especially no sliding, so, no blisters). The bottom shoe string hook loops 'lock' into place, so, once you find the right tension they stay put. I like this feature to ensure the boots don't separate away from my feet. REI fitted me really well so I can comfortably curl my toes while climbing and descending rugged trails. They are rigged and tough yet very comfortable. These boots are waterproof too which is a feature I wasn't much concerned with since I tend to sweat a lot especially when its warm weather. However, after crossing over 20 streams of up to the height of the boot as well as marching through many yards of sticky mud I'm very glad they are waterproof. With some short gators capping these boots I tr

Great Fit
Just bought these and they were the last shoe they brought out for me to try and glad they did. You ever tried on a shoe and went to foot heaven. This was the shoe for me. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit and do not hurt my right foot toes do to squeeze. I have a problem with flat feet and a toe on my right foot and as soon as I put these shoes on, I knew they were the correct pair. Wore them for 8 hours with no pain. If a shoe does not fit right, I will have pain in about 2 hours. They are light and have great traction. Have not tried them with my backpack but the ankle support is awesome. Cannot wait for next weekend to hit the trail. I also tried on Vasque, Asolo, Oboz, and Lowa and none seemed to fit and I knew would hurt my feet.
