Kuhl Renegade Shorts - Men's 12" Inseam

Great fit, looks good in many different activities.

I have three pair of these shorts after purchasing and trying the first I very much enjoyed the casual fit yet functional design. My only real problem is the button on the inside flap has failed on two of three pair with moderate to light use. I went to darnding it and the fix seems better than the factory. Small zipper pockets on each leg and they are great for ID and a little cash. Had occasion to be hiking and needed to wash these in a creek. Took out some of my biodegradable soap and set to the washing. Cleaned up nice and dried real fast. Only other issue is while sitting on a log I got to hopping up as a bee was setting about to sting me, well as I took of the log I noticed the fabiric drug a little it left little balls on the fabric so not as durable as I would hope but a darn sight better than cotten. Forgot to mention these are not cotten which I am sure is why they dry faster. You need

I had been looking online. Before paying the expensive price tag, I went to REI store and tried on. Right away I was sold. Never have I had a more comfortable pair of shorts (like gym shorts except breathe better and have lots of nice pockets, and fit well). I have ran, climbed, and hiked in these. They are well made and not dorky. They work for casual wear too around town. I got size 32 which are the same as all my pants and jeans etc. I am 6'1" and 175 lbs. There is another very similar Kuhl shorts called raptr but too short for my style. I like the 12" Renegade.

HIGHLY RECOMMMEND. I've got the dark grey ones and they're FANTASTIC. I tested A LOT of shorts and these were BY FAR the best. I wear them EVERYWHERE. The only thing is that they stretch as you get active. I'm normally a size 31, and the 32s quickly became loose, so I got the 30s and, while SLIGHTLY tight out of the dryer, within an hour they're PERFECT.

I would highly recommend this product. Living in Texas with all the hot summer days, I am very comfortable in my Kuhl shorts, in fact they are a lot cooler than cotton shorts.

These are my new favorite shorts. They are incredibly comfortable and not restrivitive in any way. They are a little long and just a touch baggy, but that is exactly what I like in a pair of shorts for everyday/walking/casual hiking use.The biggest issue is the price. All Kuhl products are crazy expensive. The one consolation is that Kuhl products are also high quality. If you take of their cloths they will last for a very long time. I own these in both colors, they fit the same. I use these for my daily commute to and from work. I like to ride my road bike from home to the station then to work and do it again at the end of the day. They are great, plenty of pockets, roomy (not baggy or saggy), belt loops and they have some stretch which for bike riders is a plus. I am 6'1" tall 150lbs, I have a 32 inch waist but I purchased a 30inch waist size since as with most manufacturers Kuhl wants people to believe they are skinnier than they are. Length falls just above my knee. They fit well/cleanly with the exception of a rather long crotch. Easy movement due to the lightweight stretchy material. I like the styling and the function, enough pockets, but not too bulky and not too many. The cell/accessory pocket will let things fall out easily if your knee goes above your hip, so be ware. Excellent weight for summer climbing/hiking.
