Keen Voyageur are Keepers
First, I'm a woman with very wide (2EE)feet. As an avid day hiker having happy feet is very important. These Keens were my third attempt at finding a new pair of mid-hikers (Asolo and Oboz had to be returned)I purchased an 8 but feel I could've gone with a 7.5. Comfy but bad build
When I went shopping for boots I didn't want to go too cheap and found these. When I put them on, it was heaven. I have a wide foot and they seemed to be a bit wider than other boots which is great by me. After logging about 12 hours in and out of a creek bed hike. When I got home, the left shoe's fabric was seperated from the rubber sole. I found it a bit odd that it was in that poor condition. I took it back to REI and

Lightweight, breaks-in quickly
My feet are different sizes to a degree, and I have soccer-induced injuries on one foot. These hiking shoes are flexible and adjustable to accommodate my foot issues, yet offer solid support for uneven/rocky terrain. No blisters 1st time out climbing to Hanging Lake. I love my Keen sandals, yet was skeptical that would translate to hiking boots (even though they were the most comfortable in the REI store). So far,

Good Buy
Bought these from a REI Store, tried on several pair these fit well and with tying them properly my heel doesnt more one bit. With the cotton socks I walked in with I did have some heel movement, but with a pair of wool socks the movement was ceased due to the socks thickness. Keen Rocks!
The non waterproof classification is misleading. I've used them for days outside in the rain and I've never had wet feet. I haven't stepped into a river, but for rain and puddles, even while hiking on dirt, these boots are great. I've had several older versions of the same boots (since 2010) and they've always been as great as these 2013 model.

Exactly what I was looking for!
