Nice shoe, heavy though
I wanted to love this shoe, and if my son (2.5) were older, I think I would have. However, the sole is very stiff, and the shoes are heavy. These are just too much shoe for a toddler, even a hefty one, and I'll return them.

Excellent quality and last a long time
My son who is 7 years old is very active and wears his shoes everyday to school and everywhere he goes. And they handle his rugged life stlye of in many sports. He is tough on shoes and goes through most shoes with in 8 weeks after I purchase them. He has worn a hole in all of them in some compacity. But not these from REI, they last and last and last. I finally found a place where my son might grow out of a shoe before he has worn them out! They were also on Sale plus REI sent out a 20% discount after the sale price, so worth every penny.
