The perfect trail running shoe
I have been an avid runner for twenty years and run mostly on trails. I live in southwest Colorado where the trails are dry and often very rocky. The Inov-8 Trailroc 236's are exceptional in this terrain. They are very grippy, extremely comfortable minimalist shoes that are also plenty tough. I have found that for short road sections (1 or 2 miles) they are only slightly less comfortable than on trails because of the tread. I have never worn a more comfortable running shoe in my life, in fact. They were perfect right out of the box and required no breaking in. I am so won over by these shoes that I plan to purchase the 246's for longer runs. You can not go wrong by giving Inov-8's a try. I bought a half size bigger, since my toes hit the end in my usual size.

Perfect Trail Shoe!
I bought these shoes as a lightweight hiking and trail running shoe. I've tried multiple trail running shoes over the years and find that the more cushioned kind tend to be too wide for my foot, causing the shoe to roll out from under my foot while I hike. These shoes aren't like that at all. They are the perfect width for my feet, and the small sole height keeps my foot firmly planted on the ground. The metatarsal shanks protect the balls of my feet from sharp rocks wonderfully! I've worn barefoot shoes by other brands without a shank and could definitely tell the difference. I didn't feel any pain or discomfort after hiking along rough terrain in these shoes. The colors are great too! Such a change from the grays and earth tones of traditional train runners. So far, I've yet to find anything I don't like about these shoes!
