A great shoe for the mid-foot striker
I bought the shoe for long distance running as I'm preparing to run the full marathon next year. According to reviews, it's suited for long runs and for those who are into natural running. Overall, the reviews were positive and I thought I'd give it a try.I'm using two other shoes for my weekly runs (Brooks Pure Flow 2 and Newton Gravity); I intend to use the Inov8-X 233 for my weekend long-slow-distance runs. I used the shoe for the first time yesterday and I run 10 miles (or 16K). I was a bit weary that it would hurt my feet considering its thinner sole compared to what I'm used to. I felt really good running in this shoe. It has a good feel of the road, right amount of cushion despite its low profile, and a good grip of the road as well.Overall, I love this shoe! If you're a mid-foot or forefoot striker, I'd recommend it. If you're a heel striker, this shoe isn't for you.
