How to Get Cheap Airline Tickets to Europe

How to Get Cheap Airline Tickets to Europe
Planning a hiking trip to Europe? Want to get cheap tickets so you have more money to spend on hiking gear and equipment, but don't know how? A number of resources are available to make sure you get a deal that fits your budget.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step 1
Use a travel agency or an online source like 1800FlyEurope.com or Eufares.com to book cheap flights to Europe. Students, teachers and persons under 26 should use a travel agency that specializes in discount airfare for this group. For example, Student Travel Association (STA) is the world's largest student and youth travel agency, according to its website.
Step 2
Take advantage of off-season travel discounts. September and early October are especially great for low-priced air fares and travel deals.
Step 3
Open up the days on which you are willing to travel and consider traveling early in the morning (before 8 a.m.) or late at night (after 10 p.m.). "Red eye" and twilight flights are generally last to fill to capacity and often wind up selling discounted seats for travelers in search of savings.
Step 4
Book your ticket as far in advance as possible. The closer to your departure date you travel, the higher your airline costs will be. International flights are especially costly compared to domestic rates.
Step 5
Buy a round-trip ticket. Travel discounts are generally attached to round-trip airfares and are restricted to certain dates. Verify that you do not wish to travel during the blackout (restricted) days.

Tips & Warnings

Check if you can change your dates after booking. (Generally, such a request is not allowed or results in high fees).

Discounted airfare tickets may be subject to restrictions not mentioned here.
