How to Put a Heart Rate Monitor On

How to Put a Heart Rate Monitor On
When going for a jog or a long bike ride it may prove useful to wear a heart rate monitor. A heart rate monitor will detect the beats of your heart and display them on a device (typically and watch like object). With this information you will be able to see if you have reached a heart rate which is desired to loose weight (around 150 or higher). This will also allow you to cool down properly and make sure you don't over exert yourself.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Heart rate monitor
Step 1
Remove your shirt and all other clothing so you have a bare chest. The heart rate monitor will need to be placed against your chest to function properly.
Step 2
Place the rectangular electronic object, which is the actual heart rate monitor part of the device in between your rig cage right under your pecks.
Step 3
Buckle the strap on the left side of your body to see how loose or tight it is. You will need the strap tight to make sure it stays on during your movements.
Step 4
Adjust the strap on the side of the buckle. This will allow you to shorten or lengthen the belt to better fit your body. Now re-buckle your heart rate monitor.
Step 5
Power on the device through the switch (or button, depending on your particular device). You will now be ready to use the your heart rate monitor.
