How to Snowboard in Seattle
Seattle, Washington is between the Puget Sound to the west and Lake Washington to the east. The largest city in Washington, Seattle is within driving distance of several winter resorts that feature skiing and snowboarding. The closest resort is The Summit at Snoqualmie.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step 1
Rent or buy your snowboarding equipment. It's cheaper if rented in Seattle rather than at the resort.
Step 2
Drive to the Summit at Snoqualmie, located one hour east of Seattle off Interstate 90.
Step 3
Buy a lift pass that costs $52 for an adult, $34 for a junior or senior and $10 for a child under 6.
Step 4
Take a lesson if this is your first time snowboarding. The Summit at Snoqualmie offers lesson packages that combine lift tickets and group classes.
Step 5
Try snowboarding at one of the other resorts near Seattle: Crystal Mountain and the Mount Baker Ski Area.
