How to Use a Schwinn 4 in 1 Bicycle Pump

How to Use a Schwinn 4 in 1 Bicycle Pump
The Schwinn 4 in 1 Bicycle Pump can be an incredibly useful tool to have around. It will inflate the tires if your bicycle, and, because but the tip of the pump is interchangeable, will also allow you to pump up other inflatable objects, such as sports balls (football, basketball, soccer etc.) and inflatable mattresses. With this pump you will never have to self inflate anything again.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Schwinn 4 in 1 Bicycle Pump
Step 1
Locate the air valve on the inflatable object. It will generally be a small protruding piece of rubber or plastic. Sports balls, such as footballs, will not have one of these protruding valves. Instead they will have a small hole located somewhere in the middle of the ball.
Step 2
Take the appropriate air valve attachment and screw it onto the tip of the Schwinn 4 in 1 Bicycle Pump hose. You can easily determine what piece is needed by looking at the inflatable device. The bicycle will not need an attachment, while balls will require the thin needle attachment. There are several other sized needles which will increase the airflow for devices with larger air valves (such as beach balls or air mattresses).
Step 3
Open the air valve of the inflatable device.
Step 4
Securely fasten the air pump's hose attachment to the device's air valve. When inflating bicycle tires, flip down the plastic lock on the end of the hose. This will prevent air from escaping both the valve and the pump.
Step 5
Begin moving the pump up and down. Every time you press the pump down, it will shoot air into the device. Once the item has been inflated you can release the air pump and plug the air valve.
