Screened tents have become an essential piece of gear for comfortable camping and Coleman manufactures some of the best. Its screened tents are sturdy, reliable and aren't too difficult to put up. If you are a novice or seasoned camper, you will find that a screened tent allows for bug-free dining and a shelter from the sun and rain. Once you've used one, you will wonder how you ever got along without one in the first place.

Step 1
Separate the poles into two sets. Place the shorter bungee-like roof poles into one pile and the longer, straight leg poles into another pile. There should be four roof poles and eight leg poles.
Step 2
Place the four connecting, plastic gables into another pile.
Step 3
Stretch the screened tent out with the outside roof surface facing up. Situate the tent.
Step 4
Place the roof poles together to make two sets. Insert each set of roof poles through the sleeve on the top of the roof. The poles will criss-cross at the center of the roof.
Step 5
Place the leg poles together. Two poles inserted together will make one leg. You should end up with a set of four.
Step 6
Insert the plastic gables onto the end of each roof pole. Insert a leg pole into the other end of the gable, standing the screened tent up as you go.
Step 7
Snap the side clips located on the side of the tent, onto the leg poles. Straighten the tent, pulling it taut. Stake the screened tent down.

Tips & Warnings
