How to Use Converta Cot

How to Use Converta Cot
The Converta Cot is a product from Coleman designed for use in the outdoors. The design of the cot lets you use it in several different ways: as a bed, a lounger and a chair. Once you purchase one of these cots, you'll be grateful you did since it will replace all those bulky chairs you usually take on trips. You simply need to learn how to use the Converta Cot.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step 1
Place the Converta Cot on a flat surface, with the side touching the ground. Unfold the bottom of the cot by lightly pulling it toward you until it pops into place. This section is longer than the top section, but the same size as the bottom. You'll want it in place before you adjust the other sides since it provides the most support.
Step 2
Adjust the legs in the middle of the cot by tugging on them in an upward motion. You'll hear a slight popping sound as the legs slide into place. Adjust the other sets of legs at the top and bottom of the cot until each set pops into place. Once the legs are in place you can adjust the cot to fit your needs.
Step 3
Pull the top section of the Converta Cot up if you want to use the cot as a lounger. The advantage to using the cot is that you can adjust the top section into different angles for a more comfortable fit. You can even sit in the cot as you adjust the back to the right fit.
Step 4
Move the bottom section of the Converta Cot to adjust the bottom of the cot. It works as two different types of loungers, including a lounging chair. You can adjust the bottom of the cot until it feels right for your body. You can also adjust it to rise higher if you need it.
Step 5
Lay the Converta Cot flat if you want to use it as bed. Simply push down on the top and bottom pieces until each side is the same angle as the middle section and then set up your beddings or linens. You can also adjust the angle of the top and bottom section if you want a more custom fit or if you can't sleep while lying completely flat.

Tips & Warnings

The bottom section of the Converta Cot has two positions and the top section has four, which allows you to create a variety of different positions. Try experimenting to find the right one for you. Try purchasing the Overnighter SpaceSaver air bed if you don't like sleeping on the hard cot. Coleman made this air bed for use on the ground, but it's also the perfect fit for the cot.
