Instructions for a Northwest Territory Screen House

Instructions for a Northwest Territory Screen House
Northwest Territory is a brand of affordable camping gear made by North Pole Limited, for sale at Kmart and Sears stores. The Northwest Territory screen house is a 10-by-10-foot pavilion with mesh fabric walls and perfect for use as a shady, bug-free dining room on camping trips. The screen house does not have a floor, so it can be placed over a picnic table already located at your campsite.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Mallet
Step 1
Spread the Northwest Territory screen house on the ground upside down. Assemble the shock-corded poles by inserting the ends snugly together.
Step 2
Lay the roof poles on the screen house in an "X" and insert both ends into the elbow connectors at each corner. Attach the poles to the screen house with the fabric ties sewn to the roof fabric. Flip the screen house right side up.
Step 3
Place a leg pole into each of the corner elbow connectors.
Step 4
Insert J-Hooks located at the base corners into holes on the bottom of the tent poles.
Step 5
Drive tent pegs into the web loops along the bottom of the screen house. Secure guy lines by extending the lines down to the ground, then drive another tent peg into the loops. Tighten lines with the plastic slider attached to the cord. Always drive tent pegs into the ground at an angle directed away from the structure.
