Foot-operated RV toilets are easy to operate. By pressing or releasing the pedal on your foot-operated RV toilet, you can open and close the dump valve inside the toilet bowl, allowing the contents to drain out. These devices can soak stubborn stains, if necessary, for several seconds. They also allow the user to flush as often as you like without fear of wasting excessive amounts of water, which can occur with standard RV toilets.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step 1
Locate the foot pedal on the bottom of your foot-operated RV toilet, near the floor.
Step 2
Open the drain valve, which is located inside your RV toilet. Press your foot down on the pedal. As waste drains from your RV toilet, a stream of water will trickle down and rinse the bowl. Keep your foot pressed against the pedal until all waste passes down the drain valve.
Step 3
Loosen your footing until the pedal is only depressed half way, which will cause the valve to close and water to continue to fill the bowl. Allow the water to rise to the half-way mark and then release your foot from the pedal. Allow stubborn stains to soak for up to a minute and then drain the water from your foot-operated RV toilet by adding more pressure to the pedal.
Step 4
Empty the water. Press your foot down on the pedal so it the valve re-opens and the water that accumulated in Step 2 can drain out.

Tips & Warnings

Place toilet paper at the bottom of your foot-operated RV toilet to minimize staining.
