King Pine Dome Tent 6 Instructions

King Pine Dome Tent 6 Instructions
L.L. Bean has been making durable outdoor gear since 1912. Their King Pine Dome Tent 6 has a large screen front room big enough to set up a couple chairs and enjoy nature minus the bugs. This six-person version of the King Pine Tent has a 6-foot 3-inch height at its peak to allow most adults standing room, and with 84 square feet in the main room, plenty of space for gear.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step 1
Clear a level space at your campground for the tent. Don't set the tent up on rocks or sticks that could damage the tent floor.
Step 2
Spread out the tent with the floor down. Unzip the door. Arrange the tent so the door will face toward your campsite.
Step 3
Put together the tent poles so each section fits tightly together.
Step 4
Push a tent pole through both the red trimmed and black trimmed mesh sleeves on the main body of the tent. These poles will form an "X" over the center of the tent. Center the poles in the sleeves.
Step 5
Raise the tent by inserting the ends of the tent poles into the pins at the corner of the main tent body. Attach the clips at the corners to the poles.
Step 6
Insert poles into both the blue and yellow sleeves located in the front screen room of the tent. These poles will form another "X" that will form the dome of the screen room. Insert the tent poles into the pins at the corners of the screen room and attach corner clips to poles.
Step 7
Stake the tent by placing tent pegs into the red, black, yellow and blue web loops located around the edges of the tent. Use the hammer supplied with the tent to pound the stakes firmly into the ground at an angle pointing away from the tent.
Step 8
Assemble the fly. Lay the fly on the ground--upside down--and run the thin awning pole through the sleeve located at the front of the fly. Make sure the pole is centered in the sleeve. Place the ends of the ridge pole into the web pockets at the center of the fly and secure the pole with hook and loop tape attached to the fly.
Step 9
Put the fly on top of the tent and center. The L.L. Bean logo will be on the right side of the tent's screen room door. Place one end of the thin pole into a grommet in the yellow sleeve, and the other end in the grommet in the blue sleeve. Secure fly to main tent poles with hook and loop tape sewn on the tent. Connect the buckles--each end of a buckle on the fly matches up with a buckle end on the tent body.
