Hilco swim goggles are modular goggles that can use prescription lenses for people who would normally wear glasses or contacts. There is no need to worry about poor vision or losing a contact while swimming while wearing prescription goggles. The Hilco goggles can be ordered with different prescription powers for each eye, or with non-prescription lenses. Because the lenses are removable, you can order different lenses should your vision change. Hilco goggles have a soft and flexible nose bridge and are adjustable to fit your face comfortably.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Hilco swim goggles
Step 1
Ask your eye doctor for help in ordering prescription swim goggles. Water distorts even perfect vision, so you will need a different level of correction to compensate for underwater use.
Step 2
Assemble goggles according to included directions. If you have a different prescription for each eye, make sure you get the lenses snapped into the correct position of the goggle.
Step 3
Place the lenses of the goggles over the eyes, then pull the strap back over the head.
Step 4
Adjust the straps and nose bridge to fit your head. The goggle lenses should fit very snugly--but still comfortably--with enough suction to prevent water from getting into your eye.
Step 5
Wear a swim cap over or under the goggles. You may find it more comfortable to wear a swim cap under the goggle straps to avoid pulling your hair.

Tips & Warnings

Protect the lenses of prescription goggles by keeping them in a soft bag or case when not in use.

Wearing contact lenses while swimming may increase your risk of getting an infection from microorganisms in the water that could attach to your lens and cause bacteria. Use a prescription goggle to eliminate the need to wear your contacts while swimming.
