The Ozark Trail screen house can be used while camping or outside the home. The screen house provides shade and protection from insects and mild weather. Ozark Trail products are available through large retail store and Internet dealers. The screen house is available in several different sizes to suit large and small groups. All of the parts for the screen house are labeled with numbers and letters to make the assembly process run smoothly. The parts must be in the proper place for the erection of the screen house.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:
  • Pole segments
  • Screen
  • Hammer
  • Stakes
  • Guy lines
Step 1
Begin by assembling the three horizontal roof bars. Connect three 2b poles and one 2 pole for each of the three bars. Cap the end poles with an L on one side and an R on the other. Cap the center pole with a T on each end.
Step 2
From each end of the center pole connect a 1 and 1b segment. Connect the section to each of the end poles in a diagonal direction. This will form the roof frame with a peaked shape. Connect two 5 and 5b segments with hooked ends. Hook the poles on the center of the roof to create a diagonal cross section on each side.
Step 3
Build the four legs by connecting two 1b segments then one 4 segment for each leg. Fit the 1b side of each leg into the four corners of the roof frame. This will erect the entire frame.
Step 4
Lay the screen material over the frame. Position the screen so the corner hooks align with the legs. Hook the screen corners into the holes on the bottom of each leg. Enter the tent and wrap the velcro straps around the frame to secure the screen to the frame.
Step 5
Locate the D-rings on the outside of the tent. Tie a guy line to each D-ring. Pull the guy lines tight and hammer a stake into the loop end to secure the tent to the ground. The guy lines can be adjusted by pulling or pushing rope through the plastic tension piece.

Tips & Warnings

Place the screen house on level ground. The product can be erected by a single person but it is much easier with two or more people.

Avoid erecting the screen house in heavy winds. The wind will catch the loose screen material and may cause damage.
