Greatland tents are available only at Target stores, because they are actually a Target brand made for Target by NorthPole, a large tent manufacturer based in China. NorthPole makes store-brand tents for most of the major sporting goods stores, as well as many superstores and discount stores. Even some well-known American brand-name tents are manufactured by NorthPole. Greatland tents are easy to assemble, although the larger models do require two people to set up.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Two people
  • Flat surface
  • Tent body
  • Tent poles
  • Hammer
  • Tent stakes
  • Rainfly
Step 1
Locate a smooth, level area and unroll the tent body. Extend the main poles of the tent as far as they will go and slide them all the way through the center sleeves of the tent. Have one person hold each end of the first main tent pole and flex it until it bends far enough for the ends to fit in the grommets on the diagonal corners at the bottom of the tent. Do the same for the second main pole on the other diagonal corners.
Step 2
Lengthen the side poles and thread them through the fabric sleeves, fastening the pole ends into the metal grommets at the base of the Greatland tent.
Step 3
Lengthen the ridge pole and set it over the main tent poles. Fasten the ends of the tent ridge pole down with the grommets located in the middle of the tent's side pole sleeves. Snap the J-hook attached to the top of the tent fabric to the tent ridge pole to shape the tent.
Step 4
Secure the Greatland tent into the ground by hammering the stakes into the webbed loops found around the base of the tent.
Step 5
Slide the rainfly pole through the fabric sleeve found on the bottom of the rainfly. Gently position the rainfly over your tent so that the rainfly pole is centered over the front door. Slide the rainfly pole ends into the grommets found on the sides of the front door. Secure the rainfly with the buckles provided, and use the nylon fasteners found on the underside of the rainfly to attach the rainfly to the tent poles.

Tips & Warnings

Use an adhesive patch kit for small tears.

This tent is not intended for use during heavy wind or rain.
