How to Build Mountain Bike Lights

How to Build Mountain Bike Lights
Mountain biking is a fun activity that anyone can enjoy for a lifetime. If you decide to use your bike to commute or take night rides, it may be dark or foggy and a light is required. This way not only can you see, but you can be seen as well. Making a simple and fast light for your mountain bike out of a small flashlight is easy and requires just a few minutes.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Flashlight Pliers Wire
  • Flashlight
  • Pliers
  • Wire
Step 1
Mount the bike in a sturdy stand and lay the small flashlight across your stem, light pointed forward up against the bottom of your handlebar. This way you can see directly in front of your wheel.
Step 2
Twist a piece of wire around the rear of the light handle, looping the wire around the handlebars twice. Tightly twist the ends of the wire together with the pliers and clip them.
Step 3
Push the button on the flashlight to turn it on and position the beam where it is most effective in your bicycle's path.
