How To Make Snowboard Stickers

How To Make Snowboard Stickers
Whether you want to create snowboard stickers that are simply "cool" to impress friends on the slopes or you want to create stickers for a team competition, or even to sell for profit, creating your own unique snowboard stickers and printing them out is a fairly simple process. Here are the steps you can follow to create and print out your snowboard sticker designs.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Sketchbook Colored pencils or crayons Computer Graphics program Sticker project paper Printer Internet access
  • Sketchbook
  • Colored pencils or crayons
  • Computer
  • Graphics program
  • Sticker project paper
  • Printer
  • Internet access
Step 1
Brainstorm ideas for your sticker designs and logos. Think about phrases, logos and designs that will work best for a snowboard as well as what is currently popular, as long as your design is original and not taken from a copyrighted source. Use a sketch pad or plain paper to doodle and draw out your ideas. Add color with colored pencils or crayons. Once you've settled on your designs, it's time to create them for printing.
Step 2
Use a quality graphics program such as Photoshop, Corel Draw or Art Rage to create your sticker designs. Photoshop allows you to create your stickers in layers that you can alter individually without changing elements on other layers. Additionally, utilizing the numerous font styles, you can create the perfect logo or design. Photoshop also has numerous filters and other tools available to allow you a wide range of possibilities artistically. Corel Draw also has various filters you can work with to create a truly unique design. Art Rage is truly geared for the "artist" and allows you to use templates as well as a reference image as you create your design. Art Rage has other options including a trace tool and a variety of artistic mediums to create your design such as a colored pencil, charcoal, paint, crayon and more. For a very basic design or logo, consider using Microsoft's Paint program. Both Microsoft Paint and Art Rage are user-friendly if you are not familiar with using more technical graphics programs.
Step 3
Print your stickers on your home computer using sticker project paper or have your designs printed by a company such as CafePress. Depending on your needs, you can choose to print your designs on your home printer and cut them out or have them professionally printed. One option is to create an account with an online company such as CafePress and upload your designs directly to their site by opening a merchant shop with them. A free shop will allow you to upload one design onto stickers as well as other merchandise sold through CafePress while a paid shop allows you to fine-tune your shop's site and add numerous designs that will appear for sale. Read carefully through CafePress's agreement as well as the requirements and instructions for uploading your designs if you choose to sell your snowboard stickers designs.
