The Halford Family Tent Pack comes with a four-person tent, two air matresses, four sleeping bags and two camp lights. This kit gives families the gear they need for a car camping trip or backyard campout. The Halford tent is designed with standing room and two separate rooms. Rectangle sleeping bags give you more space to move around at night. The relaxed design of the Family Pack is best suited for short trips in mild weather. The focus on comfort makes this tent pack a good choice for kids and adults who are getting outside for the first time.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Halford Family Tent Pack
  • Stakes
  • Hammer
  • Air mattress pump
Step 1
Take the tent body from the tent bag. Open it so it lays flat on level ground in an area that's free of debris.
Step 2
Open the three tent body poles. Push each pole through the color sleeve on the tent body that corresponds to the color of the pole. Attach each pole to the pins at the bottom of the tent body to raise the tent.
Step 3
Unfold the two inner tents. Place them inside and at both ends of the tent. Connect them to the tent body by attaching all the elastic toggles.
Step 4
Put the groundsheet in position inside the tent. Attach the groundsheet hooks to the rings found at the base of each pole.
Step 5
Stake down the guyropes. Use a rock or hammer to secure the stakes into the ground. If the ground is too soft to hold the stakes, pile rocks on top of them to secure the stakes in place.
Step 6
Unroll the air mattresses inside the tent. Use an air mattress pump to inflate each mattress. The amount of air you put in them will depend on personal preference, but remember that you will lose air through the pores of the mattress during the day and overnight while you sleep.

Tips & Warnings

Be sure to set up all your gear before your trip so you can fix any problems at home.
