A trip to Walt Disney World can be the highlight of a family's year. Keeping what you carry into the parks as simple as possible can mean a more care-free experience, and help you have the most magical time possible.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Park tickets Money Camera, optional Sunscreen, optional Wallet, backpack or bag
  • Park tickets
  • Money
  • Camera, optional
  • Sunscreen, optional
  • Wallet, backpack or bag
Step 1
Carry a wallet. Most wallets, of any size, will get the job done. This seems simple enough, but when you are in high capacity crowds, just the thought of a pick pocket is enough to ruin a vacation. Also, some rides shake, splash, and toss riders about, so you will want a secure method to transport your money.
Step 2
Carry a backpack. For park guests with children and those who need to carry a larger bag for the day, a this is a good option. Your wallet fits in with your camera, sunscreen, and whatever else you may need.
Step 3
Use a fanny pack. The fanny pack has come a long way from its former incarnations. Most are now a bit more stylish and streamlined, and allow you to get on and off the rides without worrying where you will store your bag. You can keep it safely in your line of vision, giving you quick access to your money and park tickets.
Step 4
Travel "The World" in high style. The Tren-D boutique in the Downtown Disney Marketplace recently launched a co-branded line of purses and accessories designed by Dooney and Bourke. These high fashion purses will be in the traditional D&B style that consumers love and will feature iconic Disney symbols like Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Tips & Warnings

According to Erin F. of the Disney Mom's Panel, the Walt Disney World Resort accepts cash, travelers checks in U.S. dollars, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Diners Club, JBC, Walt Disney World gift cards, Disney Visa Rewards cards, and Disney dollars. Guests staying at a resort on Walt Disney World property can use their room key, known as their Key to the World, to make purchases almost everywhere in the Walt Disney World resort. Keeping some cash on hand is always a good idea, especially for snacks and small ticket items, though almost all vendors, even the small ones, accept credit cards.
