Pontiac Aztek Tent Instructions

Pontiac Aztek Tent Instructions
The Pontiac Aztek tent is an accessory used to transform the rear of the vehicle into a makeshift camper. New Aztek tent kits came with a custom-sized air mattress that fit into the rear of the Aztek with the rear seats folded down or removed from the vehicle. Setting the tent up is a fairly simple process.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Aztek tent kit
Step 1
Open the hatch of your Pontiac Aztek and lower the tailgate.
Step 2
Remove the Pontiac Aztek tent from the storage bag. Unroll the tent and make sure that the fiberglass pole and tent stakes are in the bag.
Step 3
Drape the tent over the top of the hatch. The Aztek logo should be upright and facing you if the tent is in the proper position.
Step 4
Locate two hooks attached to the bottom of the tent and secure these hooks under the rear bumper.
Step 5
Open the rear side doors of the Pontiac Aztek and locate the garment hooks above the backseat. Fold the garment hooks down.
Step 6
Locate two bungee corded hooks on the sides of the canvas tent. Attach these hooks to the folded down garment hooks.
Step 7
Assemble the shock-corded fiberglass tent pole.
Step 8
Insert the tent pole into the nylon sleeve located above the tent's door.
Step 9
Secure the ends of the pole into the small pockets located at the bottom of the tent.

Tips & Warnings

Insert two stakes into the ground directly below the outer edge of the tent on windy days. Connect these stakes to the cords attached to two D-rings located directly below the tent's logo for greater stability.

Disassemble the tent by simply reversing the installation procedure. Roll the tent up and store it in the storage bag in a dry place.
