How to Compare Disney World Theme Parks

How to Compare Disney World Theme Parks
With four world-class theme parks positioned a short distance from each other, Disney World receives millions of visitors each year. Comparing the four is no easy task since they are as different as the day is long: Magic Kingdom is classic Disney entertainment; EPCOT emulates a permanent world's fair; Disney's Hollywood Studios captures the glitz and glamor of the movie industry; and Animal Kingdom celebrates all animals great and small.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step 1
List the kind of experiences you would like to have at Disney World. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy gazing at Animal Kingdom's re-creation of Mount Everest and the high-speed thrill ride inside. Those who want to take a quiet stroll through multicultural art while sipping imported wine will gravitate toward EPCOT.
Step 2
Consider the age of your traveling companions. Magic Kingdom is a must stop when traveling with children (or children at heart). From the family-themed rides of Fantasy Land to the thrills of Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain, there is something for everyone to enjoy in the Magic Kingdom. Adults will enjoy EPCOT's Future World, where guests can try new technology such as the Segway Personal Transporter.
Step 3
Evaluate how much learning experiences you prefer over entertainment experiences. While all four parks pack lots of entertainment, Animal Kingdom and EPCOT bring lots of teaching moments. Animal Kingdom delves into the culture of Asian and African society, plus offers a wealth of information on species from all over the world. EPCOT's Future World explores technologies past, present and future, while World Showcase lets visitors travel around the world in an afternoon.

While Magic Kingdom and Hollywood studios educate us about American history (Magic Kingdom's Hall of Presidents) and how movies are made (Hollywood Studios Backstage Tour), the real emphasis is on losing yourself in a world of imaginative fun and games.
