How to Get a Vietnam Visa in Nigeria

Located in the capital of the most populous country in Africa, the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Abuja, Nigeria, processes and approves visa applications to individuals interested in visiting Vietnam. In addition to meeting general visa requirements, you must have a sponsor in Vietnam before the Vietnam Embassy in Nigeria can approve your application. Therefore, to ensure that your application is approved, it is important to establish a contact in Vietnam before applying for a visa in Nigeria.

Step 1

Visit the visa application form page of the Vietnam Embassy in Nigeria's website to download a visa application. From the embassy homepage, click "Consular affairs" on the left side of the page and then the "Visa application form" link. Select "Save File," and then download the file to your computer. Be sure to use Microsoft Word to open the file.

Step 2

Print a hard copy of the application form and then complete the form by hand. Be sure that you enter the name of your Vietnam sponsor under the "Name, address of office, organization; or full name, relationship, address of relatives to contact or visit while in Vietnam" section on the form. Add your passport number and details to the form where indicated.

Step 3

Contact the Vietnam Embassy in Nigeria to find out what the visa fee is for your application. To contact the embassy, dial 09 870 3678 or 09 870 3679 within Nigeria.

Step 4

Get cash to cover your visa fee, as the Vietnam Embassy in Nigeria does not accept other forms of payment.

Step 5

Mail your original passport, your completed application, a passport photo and your visa fee via certified mail or take it in person to the following address:

Off Danube Street
Maitama, Abuja, Nigeria

Step 6

Wait to receive your visa in 10 business days, if not fewer.
