How to Obtain a Tourist Visa for Vietnam In Canada

Visit Vietnam for a chance to see lush rainforests, beautiful mountains and quaint villages. You can explore ancient temples, hike through ruins or catch a glimpse of exotic wildlife at several bird sanctuaries. Before you plan your trip from Canada to Vietnam, be sure to have your visa application sent in well in advance so you can travel without a hitch.

Step 1
Prepare your visa application at least five business days before you'll need the visa. In emergencies you can get a visa in as little as two business days.
Step 2
Fill out the application form in block letters. You need to fill out basic information such as your name, place of birth, passport number and profession. You also need to fill out your intended date of arrival in Vietnam, how long you intend to stay and the purpose of your stay. Sign the application to certify all information is correct.
Step 3
Attach your passport photo to the upper right corner of the application.
Step 4
Contact the Vietnamese Embassy in Ottawa to inquire about current visa application fees as the fees may change regularly. Make the check out to "The Embassy of Vietnam."
Step 5
Deliver the complete application, along with the attached photo, check, passport and return envelope to the Vietnamese Embassy in Ottawa. You can deliver the application by post or drop it off in person from Monday to Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
