Timberline Tent Assembly Instructions

Timberline Tent Assembly Instructions
Timberline is one of the top tents for campers and is manufactured by the well-known Eureka company. The tent stands 10 by 8.5 feet and is more than 6 feet high in the center. Capable of sleeping up to six people, it's popular with families, small groups and even couples who need the extra space. While directions for the setup come with the tent, you can follow the Timberline tent assembly instructions given here if you lose the original ones.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Ground cloth
  • Tent poles
  • Tent stakes
  • Hammer
  • Rain fly
Step 1
Determine where you plan on setting up the tent, and lay down a ground cloth, which protects the bottom of the tent from debris and other items on the ground. Set your poles and stakes near the tent. Set the tent on top of the ground cloth, making sure that the entrance faces the direction you want. Check to ensure that you have four upright poles, a ridge pole and the connectors.
Step 2
Insert two of the upright poles into the plastic connectors on the outside of the tent. Then slide the ridge pole through the other hole in the plastic connector. Slide the rings, also known as the keys, onto the bottom of the poles. Follow the same steps on the other two upright poles.
Step 3
Push the poles upward slightly to ensure that each pole is in the right position on the tent. When you push on the tent poles, the tent should rise up to its form. Find the elastic cord on the upper right side, pull it down until it stretches to the bottom of the tent pole and attach it to the plastic connector. Then repeat on the left side.
Step 4
Place a tent stake at one corner and push it in slightly and through the metal ring of the tent to the ground below. Slide the tent stake in at a slight angle, and then push the rest of the tent stakes in using the same motion. Be careful about using too much force, which may break the stakes.
Step 5
Use a hammer to push the tent stakes into the ground. Use enough force to push the stake down until it's as close as possible to the surface of the ground. Repeat on each stake.
Step 6
Attach the rain fly to the tent by pulling the elastic on the tent through the plastic connectors on the rain fly.

Tips & Warnings

Place all your extra pieces inside the bag your tent came in, and then place the bag inside your tent, which keeps you from losing it.
