How to Lace Burton Upper Zone Boots

How to Lace Burton Upper Zone Boots
It can be a real pain to realize that your snowboarding boot laces have come undone...again---but it can be dangerous to have them dangling while in action and hard to tie them when in cold, snowy climates. With that in mind, it is a welcome change to see a boot on the market that eliminates these hassles. Burton's Upper Zone boots have a speed zone lacing system: You don't have to worry about dealing with the laces; these boots do it for you.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Burton Zone boots
  • Burton Zone boots
Step 1
Put the boots on and make sure they fit well. Pull up the tongue to ensure a proper seat for your heel.
Step 2
Pull up the inside lace with the tab connected to it. Hold the lace and slide the tab down to hold the lace at the tightness you want. Tuck the lace down behind the tongue.
Step 3
Put the tongue in place and pull the outer lace over the outside of the boot. Secure it to the hook on the opposite side.
Step 4
Take the strings on either side of the boot and pull upward to your desired tightness. The great thing about these boots is the ability to adjust the lower and upper zones independently.
Step 5
Secure the strings by tucking them into the boots.
