How to Set Up a Coleman 2 Man Tent From Marlboro
Coleman produced a two-man tent for the tobacco brand Marlboro in the 1990s. These tents were given to Marlboro smokers who earned a sufficient number of points in a company buyer's incentive giveaway. The tent is a basic two-man design, a bit heavy for backpacking, but quite serviceable for summer car camping and back yard expeditions for kids. Set up is not complicated.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:
  • Tent
  • Stakes
  • Collapsible poles
Step 1
Remove the tent, stakes and collapsible poles from its storage bag.
Step 2
Unroll the tent onto the ground where you'll be setting it up with the floor side down. Stretch the tent out and place a stake into each of the loopholes on the corners of the tent. Push or pound the stakes into the ground.
Step 3
Assemble the two collapsible poles to their full length. The poles are shock-corded, so simply unfold them and snap the pieces together to assemble.
Step 4
Starting at one corner of the tent, slide the first pole through the sleeve on the top of the tent until it reaches the other corner of the tent. Push the end of the pole onto the metal tab at the corner of the tent by inserting the tab into the opening on the end of the poles. Repeat on the other end of the pole.
Step 5
Place the second pole into the tent, replicating the process you used in Step 4.
Step 6
Clip the tent fabric onto the poles by sliding the clips sewn onto the fabric over the poles and snapping them into place. When you've completed this process the tent will be up and secure.
