How to Confirm a Flight
Taking a trip or a family vacation can be an exciting adventure. It also can be stressful. There are a lot of details that require attention to have a smooth trip. Booking a flight is usually one of the first steps to arranging your trip. However, many people get so caught up in other details that they forget to confirm the flight. Details may have changed since you booked the trip and it is important to verify departure times. Take a few minutes to confirm your flight and avoid stress at the airport.

Things You’ll Need:
  • Plane tickets or flight information

Step 1
Find your tickets and any other information that relates to your flight. Have reference or confirmation numbers available.
Step 2
Visit your airline's Web site. Confirm your flight by entering your ticket number. Check the status of your flight and look for any changes or delays. You also may call the airline if you prefer. See Resources below.
Step 3
Call the airport you will be departing from. They will be able to give you details about your flight.
Step 4
Confirm the policies and fees associated with any equipment or luggage you plan to bring. It may be cheaper to ship these items ahead of time and have them waiting when you arrive.
Step 5
Check for flight changes before you leave for the airport.
