How to Check Flight Times

How to Check Flight Times
People often find themselves in a situation when flying or planning to pick up someone from the airport where flight might not be on schedule. This can be quite frustrating, especially if you have to drive to a different city to pick someone up. Flights can be checked from outside the airport, though. This will allow you to get an updated flight status that assures you won't unnecessarily waste time when you're traveling around the world for your outdoors adventures.

Check Flight Times From Home

Step 1
Use the Internet to search for the desired airport's website. Try the the OAG Airport Directory at www.oag.com/northamerica/airlineandairport/airportdirectory5.asp
Step 2
Locate the airport you need when the directory opens. For United States airports, simply click "USA" in the alphabetized links at the top of the page to find your airport's website. If you are searching for airports outside of the United States, scroll through the list of other airports.
Step 3
Check the flight times for the airport. When the airport's website opens, there will be a link to check the status of flights arriving or departing from the airport.
Step 4
Find the flight's status through the airline's website instead of the airport's. The airlines also have flight-tracking services on their sites, too.
Step 5
Call the airport or the airline. Most airlines and airports have automated phone services or customer service personnel who will give you the updated flight information.
