How to Book a Trip on EuroTunnel as a Group
The Eurotunnel is the transportation service that runs through the Channel Tunnel between France and Great Britain. It is the fastest way to cross the channel and is also the most reliable, as high winds and high surf don't affect the underground service. Individuals can book single tickets or group tickets, which may qualify for a group discount. Learn how to book a group trip through the Eurotunnel to experience it yourself and potentially save money.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

How to Book a Group in a Single Car

Step 1
Visit the Eurotunnel website (see Resources). Click "Get Quote" on the front page. The booking page will appear.
Step 2
Enter your departure information, including departure date, return date if booking a round trip and vehicle information. Press "Continue." You will be given a list of departure times on the date you entered.
Step 3
Select a departure time and ticket type. Tickets are designated as "Standard" or "FlexiPlus." The latter is the same as "Standard" but gives you added amenities, such as free wireless Internet, priority boarding onto the shuttle and snacks. Click "Continue" on the bottom of the screen after selecting your ticket and time.
Step 4
Enter the number of passengers traveling with you in the Eurotunnel. You can have up to eight people in your group besides yourself for a total group size of nine. Additional passengers are not charged an extra fee, as prices are assessed per car and not by number of passengers. Click "Continue" and enter your payment information to complete the group booking process.

How to Book Multiple Cars

Step 1
Determine whether your group is eligible for a group discount. To qualify as a group, you must book 15 cars or more. If your group doesn't qualify, book each car separately as outlined in the previous section of this article.
Step 2
Call the Eurotunnel's group booking line at 011 (+33) 032100 2061. You will be connected to a group representative. Express your wish to book a group of 15 vehicles or more.
Step 3
Supply the information needed for booking. You must have car vehicle registration data for each car, total number of passengers and departure dates, times and locations. The representative will walk you through the booking process.
Step 4
Pay for the group trip. You may pay via credit card or debit card. The Eurotunnel representative can also issue a payment invoice to your company if you are calling on behalf of a corporation. Upon successful payment, your booking will be confirmed and you will receive detailed information on how to organize your group on the day of departure.

Tips & Warnings

Groups of up to nine individuals in a car do not cost an extra fee. Group bookings of 15 separate cars or more qualify for a group discount of up to 30 percent off of the standard fare.
