How to Travel to Norway

How to Travel to Norway
Norway offers some of the most stunning natural vistas in Europe, with glaciers, unspoiled wilderness, and of course, fjords. There are several options to travel to and around Norway, and the ideal option for you will depend on your budget and itinerary.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step 1
Obtain a passport. You will not be able to enter the country without the proper paperwork from your home country.
Step 2
Purchase tickets from a carrier that offers service to Norway. The major carriers that fly to Norway are SAS, British Airways, Lufthansa, and of course, Norwegian. Services such as SkyScanner can help you search for the best price over all carriers.
Step 3
Consider a cruise. While most lovers of the outdoor might not wish to take a traditional cruise, a fjord cruise might offer the spectacular natural vistas you crave. Some cruises might even take you on fishing vessels or so-called adventure cruises that take you off the beaten path.
Step 4
Travel by train. You can purchase tickets to travel through Norway on Eurail or RailEurope. This will give you flexibility to stop at any outdoor points of interest on the way and will let you see the interior of the country in a way that only travel by rail can offer.
