Ideal
Okay, I know these are meant for ice climbing, but I use them for regular ol' sport climbs at NRG and RRG. They are light, fit perfectly in my smaller lady hands, and never flop around during sketchy clips that have to happen fast. The wire gates are large enough to easily slip the rope in even if you're a little pumped and shaky, and the resistance of the gate is perfectly balanced between too loose and too stiff. Initially, I wasn't sure about having a thick sheath over the dogbone but they're surprisingly light and they make me feel better about the integrity and durability of these draws on slab climbs or other times the draw gets dragged across rock. And, obviously, they will sustain the force of a fall just fine.
