The Great Earth Walk brings together volunteers throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties to improve and enhance Southern California's public lands.
In conjunction with National Public Lands Day and other volunteer organizations, The Earth Resource Foundation will participate in the second annual Great Earth Walk.
This unique fundraiser will unite several hundred organizations with a single goal - to raise the consciousness of every individual, encourage each person to take responsibility for his or her choices, and to disseminate information on environmental fragility and conservation to various communities. The event will focus on conservation and promoting healthy living and will raise much needed funds to support these and other very important environmental initiatives throughout the year.
The Great Earth Walk will take place at various locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. We expect thousands of people to walk designated trails throughout these counties and beyond. Participation is free. Anyone can participate through walking, sponsoring a walker, or through making a special pledge. Walkers will be able to donate funds to one or more of the environmental organizations participating in the event.
