Surprizingly efficient
I wanted a tool that would perform jobs in an overlapping set of circumstances, and this was it. This little tool Wowed me from the "Git Go"! Here are my needs. A camping and hiking Knife/saw combo that was light and durable, and up to the job. I also wanted something to help me with the trees and bushes around my place. THe later turned out to be its first job. A fallen tree with an eight inch diameter base and branches in all the dimensions below that. So I went to town on branch and tree removal with only this small tool. WoW! No problem cutting here. Although I have cut 98 inch diameter trees with my TSA approved two inch long buck blade. This puppy helps get the job done quicker. I have a full size, old, stainless steel machete of slightly better steel quality. AND I am very experienced in the use of this tool for land clearing. Honestly, I was not expecting a glowing performance from the lighter, shorter blade. My mind was quickly changed when I followed through on the first several "hacks" I took at some fairly large branches. This is a well balanced item with a comfortable grip, and a handle cord that assists the grip. The sawing feature was extremely helpful in larger diameter branches (3+ inches). In a survival situations combining hacking and sawing actions will give your arm a break. Easy to get to sheath with Velcro strap and a belt loop holder (my preferred way to carry this item. If you ride Horses, the longer Machete may be t

Quality Tool
Good size and weight without being too unwieldy. Not going to carry it into the backcountry but excellent for use around the homestead. Takes an edge and holds it fairly well. Handles moderate chopping tasks (use common sense) without sustaining noticeable damage. Saw actually works great! Absolutely worth the price. Every young man (or young lady) with an interest in cutlery should have one.

Great tool
This is a great little machete. It came sharp out of the box and has a good weight to it. The grip on it feels nice and tacky and the included sheath has a loop to strap it to your pack/belt etc. I've used it to strip ~1 inch thick branches off of limbs for firewood and it cut right through them with little effort. The saw part of the blade is a little cumbersome to get the cut started but sheared through wood pretty well once it was.

Perfect Go Bag Attachment
Its attached to my Go Bag that stays in my Jeep. No matter where I am I can survive with what is in that bag, and you never know what you might need. This attachment comes in really handy.

Great Price, Good Machete
This little thumper works great for hacking brush and the saw blade is functional and sharp. Right away I used this thing to collect firewood, and split wood, it worked great. The reduced price is an awesome deal! The only down sides are the sheath is a bit rough when trying to put the blade in and out, and the blade comes with a sticker on it that leaves a sticky residue when you pull it off.Overall a great buy!

Almost Perfect
This more compact machete is not as effective at yard work as a full sized model. However, it is lighter, fits in a backpack much better, and is an effective chopping/sawing tool. Great for firewood gathering as well as minor trail work. The high carbon blade works well with fire strikers. Good durability so far.The sheath functions, but poorly. Lastly, as a double edged tool there is no safe side for the clumsy. Butterfingers beware!
