Great buy
This is a great choice if you want a versatile tire that works well on multiple terrain types. It has worked well for me on everything from hard-pack clay to sugar sand to my daily commute on asphalt. You get a high quality product at a very affordable price.

Pretty good
Pretty goodI'm mostly a roadie, but I live just a few blocks from a really nice 10-mile loop of single-track that like to ride a few days a week of off days from road training and in the winter. I bought my bike used, the tires on it were completely bald, and these were the cheapest 29er tires I could find in town that looked somewhat trail-worthy. Being my first 29er I can only compare it to 26-inch tires I've used. These tires corner well and I'm able to stand on the pedals and climb without spinning out better than with other tires I've used. I'm not sure though, if that is because of the tires or the larger contact patch due to the larger diameter. They seem bigger than 2.2, which is nice because I can run fairly low pressure without any problems. When the trails were really dry, the front tire washed out a few times on gravely corners, but no worse than other fast rolling xc tires I've used. The main weakness worth noting is that they slip easily on

Excellent tire
The rain overnight has just stopped and the terrain was moderately muddy. This tire held on the tracks without slipping. I had it in front and rear and they were just fantastic. On uphill climb I thought that I will slip on my rear but I was impressed. Never lost traction. On fast turns downhill I also never lost traction but be mindful of tiny rocksas the knobs are close enough to pick them up and hit your down tube or worse your face. But overall, this is an excellent tire.
