They are small enough that you can carry them with you in a gear pack. The material was soft and cozy - did not scratch or chafe skin. If you're someone who is always cold but don't want to wear a bulky top because once you warm up you have nowhere to put your top, these arm warmers are terrific! This was a great investment for me.
