The Women's Lightweight R4 Jacket's fabric provides windproof protection for cold conditions in a single, stretchy package.When the wind howls and the mercury plummets, keep cranking in our mobile and windproof Lightweight R4 Jacket. A low-nap microfleece face and high/low grid interior sandwich the Polartec Windbloc laminate, while unlaminated R1 fabric (now made with recycled polyester) underarm panels enhance breathability and mobility. A neck gasket seals out the elements, and seamless shoulders allow pack-wearing comfort. With three external pockets (the hand pockets stay clear of your harness), two drop-in internal pockets, a drawcord hem and a slim, feminine fit that accommodates light underlayers. 100% recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

Lightweight R4: 8.4-oz Polartec Windbloc laminate combines a polyester micro-fleece face with R1 (Polartec Power Dry) grid polyester on the inside. R1 Panels: 6.5-oz 98% (60% recycled), 2% spandex (Polartec Power Dry) treated with a wicking finish. 100% recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program

Light, good fit

Receive the order in less than 3 days, what a great service in dealing with the profs in altrec. the light 4R jacket in true to the fit, it is warm when zip up but cool with the arm pit ventilation system. Great product from Pantagonia.

wonderful, lightweight and warm

I purchased this jacket as my "warm layer" under my patagonia light smoke flash jacket. I wanted something that is not bulky but at the same time warm and allowing for freedom of movement. Patagonia did not let me down. It is very warm and comfortable. Having the underarm area constructed with a stretchy, non bulky fabric makes a lot of sense to me. Most of the fleece jackets I have seen tend to be very thick, making you feel somewhat "tied up" in the underarm area- particularly when you wear them under your winter jacket. This jacket is anything but that. On top of that, it has great ventilation which makes it easy to wear as your warmer layer on a colder day. The pockets and finishing touches are well thought out. I would recommend this jacket with no hesitation. The size chart seems about right to me. I am 5'2 and 120 lbs and I opted for a medium because I don't like things to be too tight- this worked perfectly me for me. I can wear a base layer under it and be very comfortable. Go for it, you wont be disappointed!

Light yet Warm; Fits Great

I bought this as a gift for my wife and she thinks it's the best fleece she has ever owned. It's not thick and puffy like lots of other fleece jackets yet it feels incredibly warm even on cold, windy days. The windproof laminate really does work. She says the fit is just right - not body-hugging tight yet not baggy either.

wonderful fleece

I live in New England where it is bone chilling cold but I refuse to wear a big bulky coat. I have the warmth and the mobility I crave in this jacket!

this jacket works well for almost everything.It is warm enough for my winter bike rides and is fine for me to wear to work.The fit is true to size not too short in the back at all.It washes well and dries quickly.Very soft and cozy.
