This is my 10th pair of the Air Equalon's and I love them. They give me, an overpronator prone to shin splints, all the support I need. I haven't had shin splints since I switched to this shoe 3 years ago.
This shoe is exactly what you need when you are a runner that tends to use more of the front of your foot then the back. Lots of cushion! Would recommend!
I was able to talk to someone directly at Altrec and the customer service was excellent. I've shopped at Altrec several times and the timely shipping, quality products and strong customer service always deliver. The shoes are of high quality, provide great protection from wear and tear, and (by the way) they look great. I use the Nike + system to log miles and it is a great an easy to use feature.
I've run on these a dozen times or so and I'm fairly pleased. They seemed to have more cushion in the store when trying them on, but not as much after running longer distances. I'm happy though, since some reviews claimed a too soft or squishy feel. I doubt I'll use the IPOD Nano feedback feature, but I'm happy with the shoes.
I have tried this shoe in the past but couldn't quite justify the cost. Altrec's price proved to be the best, the order process was easy, Free shipping...what more can I say. Yes I will definitely order from Altrec again.
