Flow The Five Snowboard Bindings - 2012/2013

Flow The Five snowboard bindings are a great choice for anyone looking to take their snowboarding to the next level. Molded baseplates feature a wide platform for stability and ease of entry and exit; nylon-reinforced channels channel power to the board. EVA cushioning absorbs harsh landings and high-speed chatter; toe ramps adjust for a personalized fit. Ventilated highbacks feature KushControl wrapped pads to relieve binding pressure on legs; tool-less forward lean for easy adjustments on the fly. Power Triangle design links the highbacks directly to the center area of the baseplates with a high-tension steel cable, increasing control and power transfer. I-FUSION PowerStraps serve up plenty of flex and comfort for directional riders; straps offer SpeedEntry and SideEntry for easy in and out. LockingSlapRatchet (LSR) buckles offer dual entry into bindings, either SpeedEntry or SideEntry—just slap them to open or lock them down to shred. Flow The Five bindings are compatible with Burton The Channel snowboards, disc kit is sold separately.

Too fast!

Very nice beginner binding...two problems1) they take a bit t get used to the adjustment. I felt like it was either too tight, or too loose at any point in time. But, the "power triangle" comes into play when playing on your heel edge, so the loose (but snug) feel I went with was still responsive enough to rip down the mountain.2) if your friends don't have flows, you'll end up waiting on them anyway, so speed goes out the window. Definitely not a bad thing really. I was to the point where I had my board strapped up ready to go without ever slowing down coming off the lift. We're talking ski speed. Make your friends buy flows, and that problems solved ;)If I had to give one tip, it'd be to make sure you clean excess snow
