About Winter Camping Tents

http://www.sxc.hu

Camping is a sport that can be enjoyed throughout the seasons. For winter camping enthusiasts, a four season tent is recommended. Winter tents should include accessories that will make the camping trip comfortable and safe.

Four Season Tents

Four season tents are tents made from rip-stop canopy fabric derived from sturdy nylon and polyurethane. They also hold internal zipper vents, additional fabric insulation and enhanced bucket styled floors for a waterproof living space.

Features

Some of the features of winter camping tents include internal storage pockets, dual doors, polyurethane windows for insulation, rugged aluminum poles, color coded guylines and camming adjusters for easy identification and pitching.

Added Accessories

Some added accessories include rain fly's for rain and snow, wind breaking canopies, footprints for a more secure base, double vestibules to store gear, food and clothing and lofts for added storage space.

Top Brands

Some of the leaders in the winter camping tent industry include Kelty, Nemo, Sierra Designs, Mountain Hardware, The North Face and Eureka. Prices start in the low hundreds for one man tents and up to the mid four thousand range for expedition tents.

Accommodations

Winter camping tents accommodate anywhere for one to six people. Because they are generally compact in size to encourage warmth---large groups per tent are not recommended.
