Offseason
Prices go down as temperatures rise in Las Vegas, making the summer the best time to find cheaper flights and accommodations. July and August are especially cheap because most visitors want to avoid temperatures above 100 degrees.
After Holidays
Another cheap time to go to Las Vegas is right after the holidays. Tourism peaks in Sin City during the Christmas season, followed by a relatively quiet January and February. To attract more visitors during those months, casinos offer discounted rooms and gambling vouchers.
Times
When booking transportation to Las Vegas, choose early-morning or late evening flights. Because they're less convenient, these flights, especially if you're changing planes in a city long the way, they tend to be cheaper.
Special Events
Before planning a trip to Las Vegas, check to see if any large conventions will be in the city at the time of your trip. Prices tend to go up during annual events such as the Global Gaming Expo in November, the Interbike Expo in September and the Star Trek Convention in August.
Weekdays
Because many special events or shows are held on the weekends, both flights and accommodations tend to be significantly cheaper on weekdays.
