At these hotels and resorts, your meals, beverages, nightly entertainment and some non-motorized water sports such as kayaking and snorkeling, are included in the room rate, which averages about $250 per night.
Bed and Breakfast Accommodations
There are 18 bed and breakfasts and four small, quaint hotels in the Cabo San Lucas area. These accommodations usually are budget-friendly and provide some immersion into the Mexican culture. Rates vary according to room type and season. Some of these are beach-side and offer ample opportunity for scuba diving or snorkeling.
Condominimums
There are 14 condo developments that offer vacation rentals. These range from private homes to time-share properties. Prices start at about $170 per night, based on double occupancy and depending on the season. These accommodations are an excellent choice for those who are interested in feeling at home while exploring Mexico's beaches and clear waters.
Economical Lodging
There are 16 budget-friendly hotels to choose from at the tourist corridor between the cities of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. As of September 2009, the rates start at about $49 per night, based on double occupancy. These hotels are a good choice for those who plan to spend most of their time outdoors.
Location
Hotels and resorts in downtown Cabo San Lucas are about 26 miles--about a half-hour drive--from the Los Cabos International Airport. Accommodations in and around the tourist corridor area are from eight to 25 miles from the airport. So if you want to get away from it all, it's best to stay closer to Cabo San Lucas along the tourist corridor.
