Denali National Park and Preserve restricts private automobile entry. See the sights by bus or by air on a narrated tour. Though you can climb Denali on your own, a guided expedition gives you the expert edge.

Denali Natural History Tour

Board a bus for the half-day Denali natural history tour. You'll go to mile 17 of the 90-mile Denali Park Road, learning about nature, and pioneer and native history.

Tundra Wilderness Tour

The seven- to nine-hour tundra wilderness tour, also by bus, provides interpretation by a driver-naturalist. You'll reach mile 53--prime grizzly habitat--and, weather permitting, views of Denali.

Kantishna Experience

Kantishna Experience is a 12- to 13-hour bus tour, guided by an interpreter and a park ranger. See prime wildlife habitat, views of Denali and dog-mushing.

By Air

See the peak of Denali up close on a guided helicopter or airplane tour. Or drop into wild territory on a heli-hike.

Mountaineering

RMI Expeditions provides expert guidance up 20,320-foot Denali via West Buttress or West Rib. Not ready for the peak? Hone your skills in their Alaska mountaineering seminar on Kahiltna Glacier.
