The largest national park in the U.S. is the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve in Alaska at 13,175,901 acres. Gates of the Arctic National Park & Preserve at 8,472,506 acres and Denali National Park & Preserve at 6,075,030 acres are the second and third largest. At 4,093,229 acres Katmai National Park & Preserve is the forth largest in the U.S. while Lake Clark National Park & Preserve is the fifth largest at 4,030,025 acres. Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve is the seventh largest park in the United States and the sixth largest in Alaska at 3,283,246 acres. The ninth largest park in the U.S. and the seventh largest in Alaska is Kobuk Valley National Park at 1,750,717 acres.
Most Visited and Cost
The most visited of the top seven National Parks in Alaska are Denali National Park, Glacier Bay National Park and Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.
Some parks, such as Glacier Bay, do not charge for entrance while others charge a $10 entrance fee per individual and $20 per vehicle that are both good for seven days, as of August 2010.

There is an abundance of things to see throughout these parks. Brown and grizzly bears, sea otters, whales, salmon and birds of prey are some of the animal life. Glaciers, mountains, fjords, trees and wildflowers are some of the land features visitors will see.
