The Start
Starting in 1963, the original Lange Ski Boot was designed by Bob Lange, who used his experience at a plyuréthane product manufacturing company to help him with the design.
All About the Boots
Lange was the first to make a fiberglass ski boot that caught the attention of skiers and other ski boot manufacturers. This boot also had a lace enclosure.
Rossignol Purchase
Rossignol wanted to move into producing ski boots as well as skis, and in 1989, it purchased Lange.
Business Grows
Business grew, and the MID line of ski boots, modeled after two old Lange styles (plastic rear entry boot and an all-plastic boot with buckles), under the Lange/Rossignol name became one of the standard ski boots of choice.
Today
Lange continues to use the four-buckle style but has grown into making boots for skiers of all ages and levels. From the comfort-style Concept to Comp racing-style boots and the CRL, the company continues to be looked at as one of the top manufacturers of ski boots.
